Online Life Coach
Help Through Tough Times

An online life coach is just a click away.

Perhaps your relationship with your partner is not that great at the moment.

You feel you need some help, but you don’t want to go to marriage guidance counseling or relationship therapy.

Even if you did, you just don’t have the time. Maybe you can’t afford a baby-sitter.

Whatever your situation, maybe someone suggested to you that an online life coach might be the answer.

Your first thought is that going online for relationship help seems very impersonal. The importance of face-to-face communication can’t be underestimated.

Most of our feelings and reactions to a person are based on our initial face-to-face meeting with them.

In fact, scientists say that when you go for a job interview, your fate is decided in the first two minutes – before you’ve even discussed the job or your qualifications!

There are a number of benefits to finding a professional online life coach or online relationship counseling:
  • Is available online to you at least once a day. You have to make an appointment with a ‘realtime’ life coach.
  • Can provide anonymity, discretion and confidentiality.
  • Thoughts and feelings are committed to black and white.
  • You have the opportunity to think about what you REALLY think and feel before committing (sending an e-mail).
    • This means that much of your counseling actually comes from within yourself as you re-consider your thoughts and analyze what you have written.
  • It is not quite so easy to ramble in an e-mail as it is when you’re having a chat with someone in an office.
  • Your thought processes are saved and you can go back to them and see how you felt initially and what progress you are making.
  • Your coach also has access to the communication between the two of you and can view this communication at any time to see the bigger picture.
  • If you are having relationship therapy, you can decide how and how much your partner is involved.
    • You can divide your time between personal counseling and three-way relationship counseling.
  • You can take your time responding to e-mail from your internet life coach.
  • Life coaching need not be about major issues. Sometimes one just needs to have someone to chat with – kind of like an empathetic penpal.
  • There are fewer physical constraints when you go online, e.g., geography, time, traveling costs, making appointments.

There are many web sites on the internet where relationship advice comes free, but the personal touch gives us a good feeling.

Personal communication relates directly to our relationship issues. It’s a bit like having your own relationship advice researcher, rather than doing the searching and analyzing yourself. And it’s fun!

A note of caution. Do not commit yourself to an online life coach, or give out your credit card details, until you are sure they are able to deliver the goods.

There are many unscrupulous people on the internet.

A good coach will be happy to share a few emails with you initially to give them perspective on what you need and tell you how they operate.
