Keep Humor in a Relationship
What is it about love
jokes that can really get the relationship closer?
Have
you ever been in a "serious" relationship?
I
mean...serious! No fun, no laughs, no nothing.
Not
that
great, was it?
Most of us would prefer to be with a
partner that makes us laugh and is fun to "hang out with"...as least some of the time.
Humor
helps people to relate to each other. As kids, we are always cutting
each other down in jest. We can't be serious all the time because our
relationship would never grow.
At
a party, who is the star?
Isn't the one that shines the one that is telling funny
stories jokes? Have you said, "He's so funny, I love to be
around
him".
Of course we all know this is a lot more to a
relationship
than being "funny". But we believe that love jokes...or
better
put (relationship humor) has a place in most relationships.
We're
not saying you need to be the life of the party. Some people
are
just not made that way. But having a humorous outlook some of
the
time won't hurt either.
People that are serious all
the time can become lethargic and depressed.
Have
you ever been around someone that just broke up with their boyfriend or
girlfriend? They're down and all you want to do is get them back up.
Being
constantly depressed can change your body's biochemistry. It can
possibly lead to clinical depression often treated with drugs. Humor
can help change a person's attitude.
Here at Dating
Relationship, we don't pretend to be doctors, but we are experts in
dating and relationships. And we all believe there is a place
in
every relationship for a little humor now and again.
The
bottom
line is that people who are humorous are generally more fun to be
around. They tend to be very energetic and have a lot of friends.
Friendship
leads to dating, dating leads to romance...and so on, and so on.
